about our reviews:
All reviews at Edutaining Kids are independent and impartial. Our children's toy reviews are designed to help parents and caregivers find the right games for their kids. Evaluations and ratings are based on educational and entertainment value, age appropriate content, replay value, and innovativeness.
Games that are quick to play, easy to learn, educational, and appealing can be difficult to find. 4-Way Spelldown by Cadaco is all of the above. Up to 4 people can play this game that requires some strategy and the ability to form words from scrambled letters.

Two, three, or four players each sit in front of their side of the board. Each player has the same lettered pegs in front of them. On their turn, players roll the die and use the letters rolled to form a word with any of their lettered pegs. The word can be as simple as "jam" or it could be as complicated as "bunch". The goal of the game is to use up all of your wooden pegs.

Each game is very quick to play--a fact that we like because it's so very easy to pick up. Kids generally want to play it a few times each sitting. Because it's self-contained (players roll the die right inside the board), it's ideal for travel.
