We love this "singable"
story that finds Yankee Doodle on a trip to town. Along the
way, fun characters (including a poodle and a toad) hop on
for an animated ride that ends with the group opening a
Noodles restaurant.
Both
children and their parents will be familiar with the
featured song, which makes the book easy to read (or sing!).
The lyrics to the popular song take a fun twist which will
get kids giggling and wanting more. The authors have wisely
added some extension activities, perhaps anticipating just
that. The illustrations are as playful as the hilarious
text. Yankee Doodle brought smiles to our kids
testers' faces.
