This
latest book in the Toot & Puddle series is another treat. The
series tells the story of two little pigs who are best friends
with contrasting interests. Both are
enthusiastic in their own way--while Puddle finds pleasure in
taking care of the homefront, Toot has his eye on the rest of the
world.
In Top of the World, Toot has left on an adventure. The
book opens with Puddle finding a note from Toot that he has gone
for a walk. When Toot doesn't arrive home, Puddle grows
increasingly worried about his friend.
One of the most artistic activities in the
book shows kids how to create a "spooky sky" as a
beautiful background for their Halloween scene. Instructions for
Halloween party invitations and even creative Halloween costumes
kids (and their parents) can make at home are easy to
follow.
In the middle of the book, there is a pull-out page of stickers
as an added bonus.
anthropomorphic This book is imaginative and its illustrations help inspire
kids to actually do the activities.
