Scooby-Doo Showdown in Ghost Town

The irrepressible Scooby Doo and the gang deserve outstanding treatment on CD-ROM. This mystery adventure, along with the other title in the series Phantom of the Knight, do the series justice. In Showdown in Ghost Town, kids join Scooby and friends in Los Burritos, a "haunted" ghost town. By the looks of it, there is a Faceless Rider haunting the town, and kids must collect clues in order to solve this mystery. Any fan of the show knows that appearances can be deceiving, of course. In order to get to the bottom of all the spookiness, kids must perform a number of fun tasks. First things first, where are those moaning sounds coming from? It seems that none other than the Faceless Rider has tied up Parents will enjoy the nostalgia as the television show is captured in all its groovy glory on the computer screen, and, because Scooby Doo is almost as popular now as it was a couple decades ago, their children will simply enjoy plunking themselves right in the middle of a popular show. The Learning Company has thoughtfully added three difficulty levels that will take care of the different skill levels of a wide age range of children. Though entertaining from start to finish, there’s just the right amount of brain-building exercises interspersed throughout the program to keep parents pleased. Fun, though challenging. A little bonus is included on the CD-ROM and shouldn’t be missed – a video that shows the making of the software title will give children an idea of some of the effort that goes into the final product.
