Toy/Puzzle Review:    Funny Phonics Puzzle Cards

These sets of puzzle cards present a fun and educational way to learn basic phonics rules. The cards are printed on both sides and are self-correcting -- only the right answer will work and the cards will fit together as a result. Each set is devoted to a specific phonics lesson. For example, both Funny Phonics Short Vowels and Funny Phonics Long Vowels sets focus on small words and their vowels. On one side of the puzzle cards, kids must add the appropriate vowel to spell the given word/picture and complete the puzzle.

Pros:
  • Clear and attractive illustrations
  • Silly sentences that incorporate phonics lessons learned
  •

Cons:
  • Difficult to store
