Here are some
of the latest releases in children's software and video games. In software: animal adventures, roller coaster rides, Tinker Bell,

Where's the Blanket Charlie Brown? Coming in May from Tivola
Publishing is this new
title starring the Peanuts gang. The
predicament: Linus' much-loved security blanket has gone missing.
Kids choose to play as either Charlie Brown or Lucy, and Snoopy
tags along no matter which character kids select. As children search
for clues, they play educational games and take care of Snoopy in
a virtual-pet kind of way. This is a fun and charming program. For Win/Mac.

New from Disney
Disney's
Ultimate Ride Coaster Deluxe allows players to design roller
coasters, test them, and ride them too! Play in Imagineering
mode, and you will be challenged to design coasters according to
given criteria; in Build mode, you get to build your own coaster
with your own criteria. This Deluxe version expands the original
title with new features and improved rendering, loading and frame
rate. Choose from a number of different environments (like
Asteroid, Mountain, Canyon), and themes (Gothic, Outer Space,
Medieval, etc.). For Windows only, comparatively high system
requirements.

Disney's
You Can Fly! with Tinker Bell is a new software release
following the latest feature film, Return to Never Land. Players
find pieces of a Treasure Map and play flying games with Tinker
Bell as she attempts to find Captain Hook's treasure. For ages 5
and up. Kids begin the game with a full tutorial on how to use the
keyboard to "fly". Soon after, they'll be solving
puzzles, and hunting for pieces of the Treasure Map. For Win/Mac.

All-new JumpStart title
JumpStart Animal Adventures is
now shipping. Designed for children ages 4 and up, this
CD-ROM introduces children to the animal world. Kids travel to the
savanna, tropical rain forest, and more with the ultimate goal of
becoming an official "animal expert". Arcade-style
activities can be played along the way, and kids need to take
"photos" of animals. Children learn a multitude of
animal facts, earn rewards and stickers, and are treated to
song-videos. The 3D graphics are awesome.

Print Projects for Girls
Print Attitudes by Sierra is now available. Although
print programs are appealing to both boys and girls, this CD-ROM
is designed with girls in mind. Print Attitudes features personalized
print projects that include bookmarks, CD labels, gift bags,
temporary tattoos, greeting cards, school book covers, stickers,
and more. Plenty of girl-friendly graphics, templates, text, and
fonts are available for children to play around with. A Photo Lab
feature allows girls to enhance and edit photos.

Hot New Video Games!
Dragon
Ball Z: Collectible Card Game for the GameBoy Advance is
expected to be released in June. DragonBall Z is enjoying runaway
popularity recently, and this game, based on the collectible card
game by Score Entertainment, promises to be a hit. Players can
create multiple custom decks, and trade cards with other players.

Dragon
Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku for the GameBoy Advance is expected
to be released this month. This one is an action
role-playing/fighting adventure. The plot: Goku's son has been
kidnapped and an alien race has landed on Earth in search of
DragonBalls. Players must help Goku defeat his enemies, reclaim
his son, and the DragonBalls.

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Forbidden Memories for the PlayStation One is a role-playing
game based on the popular anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! This game revolves
around a card battle (we have been seeing a lot of collectible
card battles recently!). Kids play as a young Egyptian pharaoh and
attempt to solve the mysteries of the Shadow Game and the seven
magic totems. They get themselves involved in duels, meet up with
characters, solve clues, and play part of the time in an ancient Egypt
setting.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories for the
GameBoy Color revolves around a card game battle, and is based on
