Book Review:    Halloween Activities

Dancing skeletons, witches' kits, egg carton spiders...they're all in this ghoulishly fun book for kids. Parents and teachers looking for great ideas for children's crafts will enjoy Halloween Activities too!

Shown on the cover are "sponge-printed ghosts"--just one of the many activities that are wonderfully explained and illustrated in this oversized book. There are moon and star cookies and monster mouth cupcakes to bake and decorate; a clever potato-print craft for making pumpkins; and even directions for carving a real pumpkin.

One of the most artistic activities in the book shows kids how to create a "spooky sky" as a beautiful background for their Halloween scene. Instructions for Halloween party invitations and even creative Halloween costumes kids (and their parents) can make at home are easy to follow.

In the middle of the book, there is a pull-out page of stickers as an added bonus.

This book is imaginative and its illustrations help inspire kids to actually do the activities.

Written by Fiona Watt. This paperback is approximately $9 US.
