The
irreverent Looney Tunes characters for babies?! Relax, because
these toddler versions
of Bugs Bunny, Tweety, and Taz--in puppet-form--are rather
harmless and fun, and they are taking
children on all-new adventures. In Baby Looney Tunes: Musical
Adventures, they're adorable, if a little precocious, characters
exploring the world of music.
Puppet skits show the fun
interactions between the young characters as they explore musical
instruments. Scenes that include live-action children playing
instruments, spinning mobiles, and more, are interspersed
throughout the video. The video's nice musical score includes rich
classical music. Those familiar with the Child Smart videos
designed for babies will recognize the style of these segments.
The antics of Tweety, Taz, and
Bugs are very enjoyable. Bugs pops out of a hole (a peek-a-boo
scene that youngest viewers always love), Tweety plays the
clarinet to a bird friend, and Taz's crazy sounds are sure to
delight little ones.
Trumpets, violins, drums,
cymbals--each musical instrument is explored and enjoyed by the
hosts of the video. Fun for adults, too, is the nostalgia ("I tot I heard a clarinet!" exclaims
Bugs, for example). At the end of the video, each member of the
Looney Tunes gang says goodnight and goes to sleep.
