SpongeBob Squarepants: Karate Island features seven new episodes from season four of the runaway hit television series. Hilarious, spirited adventures are in store for the rectangular yellow sponge and his friends in Bikini Bottom. In the "Squidbob Tentaclepants" episode, SpongeBob and Squidward morph into one entity on the day of Squidward's recorder recital (see picture above).

Greedy Mr. Krabs opens a hotel, where "no wish is . SpongeBob inadvertently gets his driving school teacher, Mrs. Puff, fired (she is blamed for his repeated failing of driving school). Another episode finds The Flying Dutchman loses his ability to scare people during his stay at Spongebob's pineapple house, and Spongebob helps him get his prized ability back.

The interactive karate match game (bonus feature) is a one-trick pony, but the stars of the DVD, of course, are the episodes--and they're as entertaining as they come.

Best For: Ages 4-up.
